The City Where It All Begins: Milan at Its Purest
There are fashion weeks… and then there is Milan Fashion Week — the moment each February when the global industry gathers around one simple question: What’s next?
This year, Milan once again took over the streets and palazzos of the city of the Duomo with its Fall/Winter 2026/27 edition, held from February 24 to March 2, filled with anticipation, creative shifts and moments that will certainly remain in the memory of the fashion crowd.
Milan is not just a runway. It is a platform. It is history and the future coexisting within a single week, where legendary designers and emerging voices defend what makes Italian fashion so powerful: identity, savoir-faire and, above all, vision.
This season opened with fashion shows, presentations and events that brought together three essential elements: art, culture and consumption. Even the recent Winter Olympics, which had concluded just days earlier, left their mark on the city’s international energy.

A Week of Talent and New Perspectives
The schedule was intense: more than 50 runway shows and nearly 90 presentations, featuring everyone from major Italian fashion houses to emerging talents invited to engage with Milan’s tradition.
This year, designers such as Maria Grazia Chiuri made her creative debut at Fendi, while Demna presented his first full collection for Gucci. Several houses leaned into collections that balanced materiality and creativity, reflecting the tensions and transformations currently shaping the fashion industry.
The narrative of this edition revolved around proposals that combined cultural identity with responses to the global economic context — garments that defined not only trends, but also moods.
Our Brands and Their Moments in Milan
Elisabetta Franchi shone with her FW26/27 runway show, presenting a collection that celebrated feminine strength and sensuality through an impeccable staging, perfectly aligned with the Italian house’s vision. It was a moment that resonated with the global energy of the week and the dialogue between tradition and modernity that defined this edition.
THEMOIRÈ hosted a showroom in the heart of Milan, reaffirming the brand’s growing presence beyond traditional runways. The presentation highlighted its innovative approach to materials — particularly its new “Potato Fur” line — and its strong product-driven narrative.
Fracomina also used the week to connect with press and influencers from its own spaces in Milan. With a special focus on denim, the brand hosted a presentation in its store, reinforcing its heritage as a label with urban and contemporary DNA while generating organic conversation around the fabric that defines its stylistic identity.
And beyond the runways, one of the most talked-about spaces of the week was the Vogue Café Milano, an initiative by Vogue Italia in collaboration with Twinset. More than just a meeting point, it became an editorial experience where fashion and conversation coexisted in a carefully curated environment.
The space welcomed notable appearances from figures such as Anna Wintour, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue US for more than two decades, and Olivia Palermo, the New York-based designer and fashion personality.
Twinset integrated its aesthetic universe into the setting, reinforcing its positioning as a contemporary feminine brand, while Vogue contributed its cultural authority. The result was a place where Fashion Week could be experienced in a more intimate way — through styling, community and coffee in hand.
Milan as a Cultural Hub
Beyond the runways and presentations, Milan Fashion Week 2026 was also a celebration of community.
The city became an epicenter for conversations about style, innovation and the future of fashion a place where brands presented not only collections, but also intentions and narratives that will continue to resonate long after the lights go out.
We look forward to seeing you for the next instalment of Acon100cia,
